Starstruck
Summary:
On October 5, 2019, Jake Morgan was found dead on the concert stage of Bowman Grove Amusement Park. Jake Morgan was a successful solo artist rehearsing for a 1-time reunion concert he was going to perform with his former boy band members Gabriel Fontes, Marcus Tate and Oliver Stuart. Since his death occurred in the middle of a rehearsal break during the day without any witnesses, suspicious circumstances, and without any clear motive, the Police ruled it accidental on site. Case Closed, right?
Shortly after, the President of the local fan club for the boy band, Just4Fun, & manager of the ticket booth of the concert venue at Bowman Grove Amusement Park, Shannon Murphy reached out to Private Investigator Michelle Gray with her suspicion that Jake Morgan’s death was not accidental. Despite that this is a high-profile case, Michelle Gray passed the case to us with her blessing to investigate.
Due to the high-profile nature of the case, Michelle created a private website for Shannon to share documents and information with us. This is also where we will send our answer at the end of each episode:

So we did figure out that Jake was in fact murdered in the first box. The goal of Box 2 was to find out if any of the rumors about the band were actually true. This was supposed to give us a clue to a possible motive or suspect. It turns out that someone in the band was in a Taboo relationship with their band manager. In Box 3 we determined that Gabe was in a relationship with Rachel. This could be a motive if someone blabbed but since the press was only suspicious I doubt this. In Box 4, we revealed an alibi for Gabe as well as found out that Ollie knew about Jake going Solo.
This box is to basically check for Alibis and to find out who is the sender of an old email sent to Ollie & Jake a long time ago.
A Blacklight was included in a previous box so you should scan every piece of evidence with the blacklight.

1 page, single sided. Shannon Murphy tells us that It seems our Fan Club President decided to track down Ollie and approached him about the investigation. Ollie was very kind about it and even provided some items to prove his alibi and maybe some items that showed someone else’s guilt.

The other article is about Dean mourning Jake’s death and writing a song to honor him. Also he claims to have taught Jake everything he knew. This could be an interesting factoid. Reviewed here
2-sided, dated July 15, 2019, No hidden items, Case: James Yarrow vs Bowman Grove Amusement Park This happened only a few months before Jake’s death and can lead to a pattern of negligence on behalf of Bowman Grove Amusement Park and Peter Bowman who is the owner of the park and former owner of Just4Fun band. Conclusions:
The Goal of this box is to figure out who sent Peter Bowman an email about Jake going solo:
If we go over the evidence again we are kind of limited with reveals…
- We can confirm the alibi of both Ollie and Marcus.
- We have 2 clear motives for Peter and 1 weak motive for Rachel
- The tabloid article gave a little more information for Dean’s feelings towards Jake
The biggest reveal was that the Fan figures and email reveal the name of a username used on the fansite. This would be the answer to this episode’s question.

Wait, “lovetorevolt”? I recognize that username from the fan forum. I’ve seen them posting on and off for years. That is…. so CREEPY. And the fact that they had access to this recording means they’re probably a lot closer to Jake than they ever let on.
Could “lovetorevolt” be the killer? I know it’s a long shot, but there could be some connection there. I just feel like all the pieces are about to come together, we just need a little more time.
